❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How do I export my WhatsApp chat history?
iOS:
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to export.
- Tap the contact/group name at the top → Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
- Choose Attach Media or Without Media.
- Select Save to Files and save the .zip file.
Android:
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to export.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) at the top right → More → Export Chat.
- Choose to include or exclude media, then save the file.

2. The app says "Cannot parse file" or import fails.
- Suggested actions:
1. Set your device or WhatsApp language to 'English'
2. Set time format to '24-hour'
3. Re-export chat history from WhatsApp
4. Make sure the ZIP file contains a .txt text file
5. Try importing again

3. Media files (photos, videos, audio) are not showing or won't play.
- Ensure you downloaded the Media when exporting from WhatsApp.
- If you imported a .txt file only (without a .zip), media files won't be available.
- Check that your device has sufficient storage space.
- For audio issues, ensure your device is not in silent mode and volume is turned up.
4. I purchased a premium subscription but ads still appear.
- Restart the app completely (force close and reopen).
- Go to the Premium screen (crown icon on home screen) and tap Restore Purchase.
- Ensure you're logged into the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase.
5. How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
iOS:
- Go to Settings → Tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions.
- Find WhatsApp Export Manager and tap Cancel Subscription.
Android:
- Open Google Play Store → Tap your profile icon → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Find WhatsApp Export Manager and tap Cancel.
6. How do I change the app language?
- On the home screen, tap the language icon (globe) in the top right corner.
- Select your preferred language from the list.
- The app supports 20+ languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, and more.
7. Can I search messages within an imported chat?
- Yes! Open the chat and tap the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top.
- Type your search term to find specific messages instantly.
8. Is my data secure? Where are my chats stored?
- All your imported chats are stored locally on your device only.
- We do not upload, sync, or access your chat data to any server.
- Your privacy is fully protected—your data never leaves your device.
9. How do I delete an imported chat?
- Go to the Chats List screen.
- Swipe left on the chat you want to delete and tap Delete.
- Or tap and hold the chat to select it, then tap the delete icon.
