This Privacy Policy explains how Habit Builder ("the App") handles information when you use the App.

1.1 Data You Create in the App (Stored Locally Only)

  • Habit-related content (such as habit names, goals, completion records, reflections, reminder settings, and archived status) is stored locally on your device.
  • Backup data (including exported/imported JSON backup files) is also handled locally or by destinations you choose when sharing files.
  • We do not collect, upload, or store this habit/backup content on our own servers.

1.2 Data Processed by Third-Party Services

  • Google AdMob (ads): may process device information, advertising identifiers (where applicable), IP address, ad interaction events, and consent status.
  • RevenueCat + App Store / Google Play (subscriptions): may process subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction-related information.

1.3 Permissions

  • Notifications: used to send habit reminders.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS): used to manage personalized ad permission where required.

2. How Information Is Used

  • To provide core app features (habit tracking, reminders, statistics, backup/restore).
  • To show ads and manage consent preferences where required by law.
  • To process purchases, restore purchases, and verify Premium access.

3. Local Storage and Data Transfer

  • Habit data is primarily stored on your device.
  • We do not run a user account system for storing your habit content on our own backend.
  • If you export/share backup files, the data transfer depends on the method/platform you choose (for example, cloud drive, email, or messaging app).
  • Third-party services may process data on servers outside your country based on their own policies.

  • You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
  • You can delete local app data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data on your device.

  • Exported backup files remain wherever you store/share them.
  • Third-party service retention periods are governed by their own policies and legal requirements.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, please contact us.

We use reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your device and backup files secure.
